09 Jun PARCO DEL TASSINO – Oasis of beauty and peace in Lugano
Near the train station and a few minutes from the centre of Lugano, there is a wonderful corner of peace: the Tassino Park.
It was once the hunting lodge of the Enderlin, a wealthy family of the nineteenth century who owned a beautiful villa on the hill of the Tassino in the lower part of the current park.
At the highest point stands the tower Enderlin Tower, painted pink, while under the panoramic terrace there is a completely renovated playground.
From the panoramic terrace, located at the foot of the tower, you can enjoy a beautiful view, framed by some specimens of centuries-old trees, ranging from Mount Brè and the arm of the lake that leads to Porlezza to Mount Sighignola, above Campione d’Italia to finish, on the right, with Mount San Salvatore. Underneath the rooftop terrace extends the city in all its beauty, arranged close to the Gulf of Lugano, with its unmistakable configuration.
